Ben and Jeri Nelson paved the way for the current fourth generation of family that manages Jeri’s. The family has lived and worked on Galveston Bay since the 1900’s and has gained extensive knowledge about the oyster resource, Galveston Bay, and the oyster industry. This knowledge is what drives the family legacy to continue being stewards of the bay system and the oyster resource. Jeri’s Seafood wants to ensure that many more generations to come can enjoy the resource and the bay system.
